Mad Metallics

Metallics Collage by Liz Nehdi, 2014

I’m headed to California in a few days and the packing has begun. We’ll probably have at least one glitzy night out in LA, so I’ve got metallics on the brain. I’m currently loving the insouciance of pairing something glittery and glam with something casual and sporty, like the t-shirt and sequined trousers combo in the upper left of the collage. How do you take your metallics?

London Fashion Week Roundup

Liz Nehdi

Liz Nehdi's top looks from London Fashion Week A/W 2014

So…I’m clearly biased, but so many of the designers showing at London Fashion Week have just killed it! This is one of the many days that I have to pinch myself – I’m so lucky that I get to live in such a vibrant, inspiring city as London.

Before the fashionistas, buyers and editors jet over to Milan, here’s a roundup of my favourite looks (of the printed variety, of course) from the London runways.

Which of these looks would you love to wear next autumn? Who’s your favourite designer from this mix?

The official London Fashion Week website from the British Fashion Council is also a fantastic resource for more information on LFW.

Gearing up for London Fashion Week

Liz Nehdi

Best of British Print Design According to Liz Nehdi

London Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow, but before the Autumn/Winter 2014 collections roll down the runways, I wanted to share a collage of looks from some of my favourite London-based designers.

Clearly I’m biased since I call London home, but I think this city boasts some of the most exciting surface pattern design talent around. If there’s one thing the designers featured in this collage have in common it’s their ability to create riotous and colourful patterns to boost our moods throughout the long, gray London winters.

What’s your preferred look here?
